Summer Outdoor Therapy: Finding Healing Along the Path

Summer has a way of inviting us outside. The natural world is vibrant and full of life, offering countless opportunities to notice, wonder, and learn.

Time in nature reminds us of a more natural rhythm; a pace that invites ease, presence, and space to pause. As we slow down, we often notice our breathing deepen, our minds become quieter, and our bodies begin to release the tension we have been carrying.

When life’s challenges feel heavy and we need support, outdoor therapy can open unexpected possibilities for healing. Walking alongside a therapist in nature creates space for reflection, a wider sense of connection, and new perspectives that often emerge organically. The natural world gently reminds us that change is possible, resilience exists all around us, and even difficult seasons eventually give way to new growth.

This week, if you have the opportunity to be out in a natural setting, I invite you to take a moment to simply pause and be present with the wild beings who are there with you. By tuning in, there are lessons available that we may not have otherwise noticed. As we slow to this natural pace, the tension in our bodies begins to release, we experience a greater sense of wholeness, and we come away filled with awe.

Wishing you moments of peace and awe this summer.

Sincerely,

Melissa
